Evelyn Heiner ElliottEvelyn was born in Morgan, Utah, on February 11, 1919. She graduated from Morgan High in 1937. In 1938-39, Evelyn went to New York City to the Worlds Fair and saw many Broadway shows.She played the flute in the high school band for four years and took part in school drama. She was a cheerleader and a band drum major.Some of her favorite activities were: dancing, swimming and golfing.Evelyn worked at Remington Arms in Salt Lake City during World War II as a staff driver. She also worked for L. R. Samuels and Fred M. Nye in Ogden. She was in the nursing profession for 10 years, and she donated 3700 hours doing volunteer work for the Weber County area.At the age of 61, she went on a 10-day Caribbean cruise on a large Greek ship.Evelyn suffered from chronic pain most of her life due to a back injury. She always believed that "truth", is the most powerful word in the English language.Evelyn is survived by three children, Tamra, Wendy Lou, and Thomas Carroll, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters.She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Craig.
