Fay H Brown, 91, passed away December 29, 2014 from complications associated with Alzheimers at Peach Tree Assisted Living in West Haven. She was born November 4, 1923 to Alfred and Lucy Howard in Charlo, Montana.
Fay graduated in 1941 from Weber County High. She was married to Harold L Petersen in Ogden, Utah in 1945. They later divorced in 1954. She married Robert Brown of Roy in 1964.
Fay worked as a Beautician and Teacher of Cosmetology. She was employed at the Navajo Indian Reservation in Brigham City and later was a teachers aide at Ben Lomond High School.
She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ogden as a Sunday School Teacher and prepared many meals for special events. Fays specialty was her homemade cinnamon roles.
She was very talented in quilting and knitting; making many items for family, friends, and fundraisers. She was also a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Fay is survived by her sons Kent Petersen of Palmdale, Ca. and Rich Petersen, of West Haven, grand-daughters Amber (Petersen) Margolis, Brandi (Petersen) Clevenger, Bobbie (Petersen) Crowley, five great-grandchildren, and brother Grant Howard. She also had a number of step-grandchildren and great grand children.
Fay loved her family and friends dearly and will be truly missed.
Fay is preceded in death by husband Robert Brown, sisters Auda Phelps, Shirley Simmons, Rita Barnett, and brother Walt Howard.
Funeral Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary 836-36th Street Ogden, UT on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 am. Family will greet friends prior to service from 9:45-10:45 am.
Interment-Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
