It is with sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Faye Adams Parker of Washington Terrace, Utah on Sep 12, 2023 from causes incident to age. Faye had just celebrated her 102 birthday holding the longevity record in her family.
Faye was born on Aug 28, 1921 in her parent's home in East Layton, UT. She was the third of five children born to Hazen F. Adams and Sylvia Flint Adams. She had two older sisters (Rhea and Nora) and two younger brothers (Lynn and Kenneth).
She grew up on the family farm and attended Davis County Schools, graduating from Davis High School in 1939.
Faye started working early in her teens as a carhop. She went on to work at the Army Arsenal, various local grocery stores, DDO, and retired from HAFB.
In 19 she married Eugene D (Mike) Parker in Malad, Idaho. They had two daughters, Ella Jean (deceased) and Carol (David) McFarland).
Her favorite pastime was having a clean home and she hardly ever missed a rerun of Lawrence Welk. She loved hearing the planes fly over from HAFB. She said they were the sound of freedom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mike, daughter Ella Jean, sisters Rhea Segwick and Nora Burton, and brother Lynn.
Faye is survived by her daughter Carol (David) McFarland.
Services will be held at Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers, 836 36th St, Ogden, on Tuesday, Sep 19, at 2:00 pm. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.
