Frank LeMar Bingham

Frank LeMar Bingham passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Saturday July 27, 2013. He was born to Frank A. Bingham and Luella (Hutchins) Bingham in Slaterville, Utah.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He is past president of the Mount Ogden Toastmasters International, Wasatch Slopes Cutter Association and Riders of the Wasatch. He worked at the Defense Depot Ogden, Marquart and retired from Hill Air Force Base after 32 years of service. He attended college during his career. He enjoyed a good meal and was a good cook. He also spent many years running race horses, camping, hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. He lived in West Warren and Ogden and wintered in Yuma, Arizona and Blythe, California. He married Arlene Woodruff on February 15, 1947 in San Diego, California. Their vows were later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He served faithfully in several church callings during his life and was a dedicated Home Teacher. He was active in the LDS Ogden, Blythe and Yuma Wards.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Arlene Woodruff Bingham, his children and their spouses; Judy A. & Boyd Barrow; Linda K. & Dean Barrow; Dean L. (deceased) & Cathy Bingham; Gene L. & Jill Bingham. He has 16 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and a sister Jewel Dean Lowder. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will be at West Warren Cemetery.
