Fred Bingham of Farr West, Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at the age of 95 on March 16, 2023. Born to Leonard and Mable Brough Bingham on June 25, 1927 in Randolph, Utah.
Fred lived an adventurous childhood among ranches and wilderness, fostering a lifelong passion for horses. Fred would make numerous adventures returning yearly to Randolph making hunting memories on horseback with his sons.
Moving with his family to Ogden, Utah at the age of 16 was his next adventure where he graduated from Ogden High. He met and married his first love, CloeReen Baker. He took automotive training and began a successful automotive repair business.
He was a good provider and together they raised six children. Daughter Faye Bingham Painter, sons Bob, Jody, Michael, Allen, and Marvin Bingham. Through his legacy are 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren.
Whatever Fred set his mind to, he accomplished. Fred established a thriving auto repair business, Bingham Garage. He planned and developed many properties including the acreage adjacent to his shop, which became Bingham Industrial Park. He was once president of Utah Automotive Trades. Fred always had a project building something. His passion with horses led to training many race track winners in races and derbies throughout the years.
Fred married his second love, Tamari Coleman in 1992 and spent the last 31 years building a happy life together. They loved spending the weekends at their Lava Hot Springs property and at their home in Farr West, Utah.
Fred was predeceased by his first wife CloeReen Bingham, daughter Faye Bingham Painter, sons Jody and Michael Bingham, his siblings Elmont Bingham and EllaMae McKinnon, grandson Chad Say, and great grandson Jayce Bryner.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27th at Leavitt’s Mortuary located at 836 36th St in Ogden, Utah. There will be a viewing for friends and family at 10 am followed by a service at 11 am. Interment immediately afterward at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
