Fred D. Martin age 93 passed away after a ten yearstruggle with Alzheimer s disease on June 10, 2016 at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home. Fred and Marty were married in Burbank, California on November 1st, 1941 and sealed in the S.L.C. Temple June 1955. Fred was a flight engineer during WWII, a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol; he also worked for Lockheed and Boeing. He retired from Civil Service and the Air Force Reserves. Freds true passion was aircraft and he has been involved with them since age 18 and actively piloted them till age 85. Fred is survived by his wife of 74 years, Marthanell (Marty); his three daughters, Judy Swaner (Allan deceased), Jan Lamberson (Dave), and Jeri Whitehead (Rick); son, JF (deceased); six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Marian Popham (James) and JoAnne Whitaker (JR).
