Frieda Nan Johnston, 87, passed away January 18, 2012. She was born June 19, 1924 to William and Lutie Thayer Fritz in Pawpaw, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1946 with a Bachelors of Science Degree and AAUW. She married James B. Johnston on September 4, 1949 in Pawpaw, MI. Frieda was a member of the Baptist Church. She loved needle work, knitting and golf. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Frieda was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at the Ogden Country Club and also a member of the Ladies Duplicate Bridge Group.She is survived by her husband, James B., son James B. Jr., daughter, Cynthia J. Crass and four grandchildren. Per Friedas wishes there will be no public services held.
