Gary Ralph Larson, 68, passed away January 01, 2013. He was born September 14, 1944 to Ervin Franklin Larson and Antonia Schreven Larson in Ogden, Utah. Gary married Patsy Aaron on September 27, 1962. Later, after Patsys death, he married Nancy Gaylord on May 08, 2004.Gary was a gentle giant, loving and humorous. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting hobbies he enjoyed teaching to his children and grandchildren. Gary worked for many years at Hill Air Force Base and eventually retired from there. During his career and into retirement, he loved travelling around the United States and the world. At home in Washington Terrace, he was known throughout the neighborhood for his impeccable lawn and his large vegetable garden.Gary is survived by his wife Nancy, his daughter Rhonda (Lynn) Jenkins, son Michael (Teresa), brother William (Susan), sister Vivian Benna, brother Larry (Julie), sister Judy (Roger) Stokes, sister Nancy (Steven) Ray and several nieces and nephews. He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Patsy, and his son Jerry.Per Garys wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral. A private celebration of his life will be held for family and close friends on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Rosewood Ward located at 3628 South 2700 West in West Haven, UT from 1pm to 2pm. In honor of Garys love of children, please make a donation to Primary Childrens Hospital if you wish.Cremation was performed under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
