Gary M. Squires, 77, of Ogden, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Gary was born March 25, 1949, in Ogden, to Junior and June Squires. He was an Air Force veteran and later worked at Hill Air Force Base as a civilian. He retired January 3, 2008.

Gary was happiest outdoors with family and friends — camping, fishing, golfing, and with his dogs nearby. Come winter, you could find him at Snowbasin, either on the hill or in the parking lot talking to everybody. And if you knew him, you knew he’d tell you: you’re always invited.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Brad and Mitchell. He is survived by his children, Summer Rorex and Kyle Squires; his brother, Kim Squires; and his sister, Diane Archer.

An evening viewing will be held Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 7th at 2:00 PM at the same location, with an additional viewing held an hour prior, starting at 1:00 PM.
