Gary Burton Stoll passed away on February 22, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born on June 26, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to William Stoll and Georgiann Bewick.
Gary proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1963. Upon completing his tour of duty he moved to Santa Barbara, California where he lived for 33 years. This is where he became interested in and acquired a love of golf which lasted his entire life.
He worked for Allstate Insurance for 30 years. When Gary retired in 1998 he moved to North Ogden, Utah to be closer to his son Charlie.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Vera Stoll, Georgiann and Jim Pharriss, and his brother John Stoll.
Gary is survived by his son Charlie, Charlies brothers Sean and Brad Franzen, sister Deborah Scott, sister-in-law Fern Stoll, his nieces and nephews Sherri Stoll, Joy Brisco, Tim Stoll, Teri Starkman, Stephanie Auffevt, granddaughters Ashton Shepherd, Cierra Valdez, Kara Penrod and Karas husband Josh, great grandchildren Kelton, Kasyn, and Makindsey, along with his many friends in Santa Barbara and Ogden.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Conners and all of the physicians and nurses in the ICU unit at McKay-Dee Hospital. Their care of Gary during this time was exceptional.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 22, 2014 from 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm at:
