Gaylene East Black, 63, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at her home from Ovarian Cancer. She was born August 3, 1951 to Don and Elaine East in Ogden, Utah. Gaylene graduated from Weber High School.
Gaylene was sealed for Time and all Eternity to Andy Neil Black on June 25, 1977 in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Gaylene grew up in West Weber, Utah on her fathers Dairy Farm. Along with her three sisters, she learned the importance of hard work and family.
Gaylene faithfully served an LDS mission in Brussels, Belgium. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a teaching degree. She was a long time employee of Ligoris and was considered Ted Ligoris "right had man". One of her greatest joys in her life was her granddaughter, Neila.
Gaylene is survived by her husband, Andy; father, Don; three sisters: Dianne, Cherylin, and Jody; three daughters: Ghislaine, Annika and Yanci; and her granddaughter, Neila.
Gaylene is preceded in death by her mother, Elaine nephew, Don.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward Building, 900 South 4100 West, West Weber, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward Building, 900 South 4100 West, West Weber, Utah.
Friends may also visit with the family one hour prior to services starting at 10:00 to 10:45 am.
Interment at the West Weber Cemetery, 4699 West 4100 North, West Weber, Utah.
