Our sweet mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Gaylene Hale Moore, passed away on Tuesday February 1, 2011,while surrounded by her family. Gaylene was born February 13, 1931, to Lewis E. and Anna Gailey Hale in Ogden, Utah. She was a proud Weber Warrior, graduating class of 1947.In 1951, Gaylene married Robert Hennigan. Together they had four children: Donna (Sherman) Myers, FL.; Cheryl (Brian) Quilty, CA.; Kathleen Marretti, Farr West, UT., Kevin (Susan) Hennigan, WA. They later divorced. She married Edward B. Moore in 1968. Ed passed away in 1997. Gaylene retired from Dan River Mills in Danville, VA. in 1994 she returned to Utah to spend her retirement with family. Gaylene worked hard all her life to support herself and her children. She was an avid gardener and a talented seamstress. Gaylene made beautiful pieced quilts and crocheted many delicate items. Moms hands were always busy.Gaylene was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was blessed with her temple endowments in 2008.She is survived by her children, two brothers: Val (Kay) Hale, Ogden, UT.; Seth (Bunny) Hale, CO.; and one loving sister, Alanna Norris, West Weber, UT., 13 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ernest Hale, sister LaRene Graham, and son-in-law Bruce Marietti. Wed like to thank the staff and friends at The Gardens, Emeritus Estates, and Vista Care Hospice for the love and respect given to our mother.Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family and friends may visit Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the mortuary.Interment at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
