Geneal Jensen Conlin, 87, passed away on August 12, 2018, surrounded by family members. She was born on October 18, 1930, in Brigham City, Utah, to Merlin Christian and Lettie Drucilla Glenn Jensen. Geneal married Dwayne J Conlin on May 21, 1948, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden, Utah Temple on July 19, 1996. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1948. She worked lovingly as a devoted wife and mother. As her children grew older, she started working in a fabric store because she loved to help others enjoy the craft she enjoyed so much. She later worked at the Defense Depot Ogden and eventually retired in 1990. Geneal was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an excellent seamstress and a great cook. She loved to quilt and won many awards for her beautiful quilts. She was a dedicated mother and loved doing things with her family, including a one-time stint as a boys little league baseball coach. When her children were young, she loved to dress up as a witch at Halloween. She is survived by her husband and three sons and their wives: Brett and Susan Conlin, Farr West, Utah; Scott and Geri Conlin, Layton, Utah; and Cory and Kathy Conlin, Vancouver, Washington. Geneal is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Merlin, and her sisters Donna and Alice. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverdale Stake Center, 4000 South Parker Drive, Riverdale. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Riverdale Stake Center.
