Genevieve Bryning Morris refused to see a Trump Presidency and died early Friday morning on January 20, 2017. Instead she accepted an invitation for a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a while. The reunion is in a wonderful place where she will be dancing, socializing, doing yoga and reading to her hearts content. We know there will be music, laughter and love.
Genevieve was full of life from the time she was a young woman who lived the We Can Do It slogan as a Rosie the Riveter, through her many adventures as she and her husband, Chester Morris traveled the world. She was vibrant and spirited and in her 80s she taught her family to line dance at her grandsons wedding, danced on stage at a wine festival in Germany and led a can-can line through the streets of Phoenix. Genevieves life culminated in her 90s as she continued to live life to the fullest riding on the back of a motorcycle with her grandson, participating in a limbo contest at her 90th birthday party and enjoying rousing games of werewolf where all her grandchildren agreed she was the worst werewolf to ever play the game.
Her spirit is carried on by her daughters Jan Kenyon and Wendy Wood, ten grandsons, three granddaughters and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester, son Jim and daughter Debra Trent.
