On December 24, 2018 George returned to the loving arms of his Mother and Father. He was born September 20, 1942 to Walter Young Buchanan and Dorothy Geneva Isley Buchanan. He graduated at Lampasa High. He honorably served his country in the US Air Force. He married Doris Buchanan in 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. George was a Fraternal Order of Eagles. He served in the US Air Force from 1967 to 1987. He was a loving husband Father and Grandfather. George loved working on his yard, going camping and playing golf. His favorite activity was sitting at the table with his wife Doris and having a good cup of coffee. That was all he talked about in his final days. He is leaving behind his wife Doris Buchanan; Son George Buchanan; Granddaughter Bernadette Buchanan; Grandson Chase Buchanan. Funeral Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00am. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 6:00 8:00 pm and again Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 10:00 10:45 am. *In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in George's name to the local animal shelter.
