George LeGrand Riddle
George LeGrand Riddle, 78, passed away on January 22, 2022. George was born to Russell Monroe and Vivetta Henderson Riddle on September 5, 1943, in Ogden, Utah. He had four brothers and ten sisters.
George graduated from Ogden High School in 1961 and joined the U.S. Army at the young age of 17 needing his father’s signature to enlist. He served three years in the U. S. Army on active duty earning a Sharpshooter (Rifle) Award and spent part of his service time in South Korea and three years in the U.S. Army reserves to finish his military service obligation.
George met and later married Susan Giessow in 1964 and had three children Jim, Rob, and Penny. George and Susan would later divorce.
On July 8, 1988, George would marry his wife of thirty-three years, Linda Wheeler who would bring two sons, Tony, and Lee, to create a wonderful, blended family.
George began working at Hill Air Force Base in 1965, where he would work until he would retire in 1994. George and Linda enjoyed retirement for many years together. They enjoyed each other’s company, time with their children, but would find the true meaning of life for them when their grandchildren started joining the family.
George is survived by his wife Linda, sons Jim (Nichol) Riddle, Rob (Kimett) Riddle, daughter Penny (Duane) Nall, bonus sons Tony Anzures, and Lee (Kami) Anzures, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his brother Russell, and sisters Betty, Karen, Doretta, and Linda.
George was preceded in death by his father, mother, three brothers, and six sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing held from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.

My brother George was a wonderful brother. I remember playing baseball and hide and seek when we were little. My prayers are with you Linda and you are loved by many.

Remembering George from my childhood memories in Harrisville .The impromptu neighborhood bbq's the adults all heading out to Willard bay for some all night cat fishing. Such good memories of him .

George was a very special brother. He will be greatly missed by all. I have great comfort in knowing that the last breath he took on this earth will be the first breath he took when he went to be with the Lord. Love you dear brother.
