George “Ralph” Williams's Obituary

George Ralph Williams was born in Malad, ID on March 6, 1920. He lived most of his life in Utah, where he passed away peacefully at 97 years old on June 23, 2017. Ralph was a hardworking, honest, straightforward man with a great sense of humor. He was unfailingly generous and was always there to help when friends or family were in need. Most of his time was spent playing pinochle, hunting, camping and fishing. He also loved tinkering, inventing gadgets, gardening and watching football. He was a union man who served in the military as an Aviation Machinists Mate Third Class during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Bunker Hill CV-17. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Laveda and William J. Williams; his wife, Ann Williams; his daughter, Gwen Wixom; and his siblings. He leaves behind three daughters, Linda, Jolene, and Wendy; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Saturday July 1, 2017 at 2:00pm. After 97 years of hard work and dedication to his family, Ralph has earned the right to join his family in peace. Well miss you Grumpy. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
