Glenda "Luana" RiceOur beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on February 23, 2013. She was born in Salt Lake City on April 23, 1931 to Glen and Olive Jameson. Luana grew up in Salt Lake City and met the love of her life Walter Donald Rice at a roller skating rink. They were married April 22, 1950, and settled in Slaterville. She worked for Ogden Poultry, the Standard Examiner, and for Ogden City School District. She also worked with her husband on their family farm. She enjoyed taking trips to Wendover, playing cards, bowling and spending time with friends and family. Luanas life works include children: Debbie (Gary) Susott, Walter Rice, Shelley (Steve) Couch, John Dale Rice, and Steven (Tami) Vaux. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Ben), Jeff (Marjeen), Marie (Carey), Jason, Glen (Brooke), Ellen (Justin), Tyler, Samantha, Mickala, and Hannah. Great-grandchildren: Alic, Ansley, Zack, Jacklyn, Julia, Dezeray, Audra, Berlin and Marissa. A viewing will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m.Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
