Grace Clara Linde"Amazing Grace"Grace Linde, 96, passed away peacefully at her home in Ogden, surrounded by people who loved her, on August 23, 2011.She was born to Clara Elizabeth Wright and Henry Oscar Jones on September 4, 1914 in Cache Junction, Utah where she was raised and went to school. Grace married Robert Arthur Short in 1940, and they had one son, Robert Henry, together. After Roberts passing in 1970, Grace was fortunate to find and marry the second love of her life, Leroy Michael Linde, in 1972. Grace was a woman of many talents. She was a skilled beautician, seamstress and cook who was known for her fudge recipe, for which she paid the princely sum of one hundred dollars many years ago. The greatest joys of her life were music and dancing, which brought her, and her loved ones, many delightful hours. Grace is survived by her sister, Mae Rose Jones, of Ogden; her grandchildren, Daren (Liz) Short, of Willard and Lexi Short. She is also survived by two nieces: Peggy and Marcia, and two daughters-in-law, Diane and Rona. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; George and Herman, her sister Lorraine and her husbands. Funeral services for Grace will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family will meet friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment Newton City Cemetery. Graces family would like to extend special thanks and love to our special angels: Angie, Kami, Karen and Lori, who gave Grace such wonderful care, protection and warmth for the last four years of her life.
