Grace Kent Lindsay May 15, 1918 - May 22, 2014 Grace Kent Lindsay left her earthly family to join her beloved husband Walter West Lindsay on May 22, 2014. She was born in Lewiston, Utah on May 15, 1918, to Melvin and Viola (Jackson) Kent. She was the last living child of her parents nine children. Her children were awed and inspired by her strength to endure to the end. Each of us developed our own special love and closeness for her as she struggled to leave this mortal existence. She was well known for her music talent which began at age 11 as the organist in primary and continued in ward and stake auxiliary music positions throughout her life. She served in many stake and ward positions. She and her husband, West, were ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple. She instilled in her children the same love of music and the importance of hard work that her parents had taught her. Grace married Athel Denton Benson in Logan, Utah in 1936. He died in 1939, two months before the birth of her first child, Sue Benson. While working for the Ogden Board of Education she met and married West Lindsay on May 7, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. Graces daughter, Sue, was sealed to them and joined in the family with Wests daughter Shirley from his first marriage. Lynn, Sally and Linda (Tomi) were born to them in the following years of their marriage. Five generations of posterity are saddened by her passing. She was clearly loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express their thanks to Heartwood Hospice and the many Legacy staff as well as many supportive family and friends who shared their love during the last days. There will be a viewing at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT, on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm.
