Our beautiful bird, Gretchen Alta Lowe Fluhart of Ogden, Utah, passed away May 4, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 19, 1952, in Ogden, UT, to Ralph Lowe and Elgene Siefertson Lowe. She attended Ogden High and UCSB. She married Rocky Fluhart and moved to California, where Rocky attended college and where her sons Richard and Blake were born. Gretchen worked as an insurance agent and basically earned the same Masters degree that Rocky received from Kansas State. Gretchen loved and cared deeply for her family and dear friends, acting as a second mom to her nieces and nephews. She loved skiing, birds, animals, hiking, games, camping, hosting holiday dinners, and being with kids of all ages. She had enormous patience, strength, kindness, and love. Our "GG" has left a legacy of light in her wake. Predeceased by husband Rocky, grandparents, parents, and brothers Jeff and Kim. Survived by sons Richard, Blake; brothers Mike, Greg (Jean); sisters Susie Billstein (Steve), Melinda (Bob) Pauli, Lillija (Jon) Contos, Liisa (Nick) Frei, uncle Duane Siefertson, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A life celebration will be held Sunday, May 14, at 1:00 PM at Talia Event Center, 22 E 200 S Clearfield, UT. In lieu of flowers, donate to a charity of your choice.
