Griffin Xzavier Brock

Griffin Xzavier Brock passed peacefully on April 14, 2021, at the age of 39.

He was our beloved son, brother, father, and veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his sons; Griffin Xzavier Brock, Xzavion Willie-Zakayus Brock, and their mother Shanmel Brower. Also, his son Jordan Leonard. His grandmother Dula Ivadean Brock, mother Shardel Brock, brother Calvin Demetrius Brock, sister Nia-Chanel Sage Brock, aunt Jacquetta Brock McGlothan, uncles Vincent Brock and Walter McGlothan. And extended family members Brenda and Terry Kees.

He was proceeded in death by his grandfather Willie Zack Brock.

Griffin loved people. He was an extremely loyal friend unlike any other. He continually shared wise and humble assurance, to tame mountains down to molehills, while lifting you up. He wanted to make sure you knew you were important. And nothing was more important to Griffin than his sons.

Griffin was constantly seeking God whom he loved and affectionately referred to God as "My Dad". If God is not your personal Savior or "Dad" I believe Griffin would want, you to get to know Him right away. We celebrate that Griffin, with whole body and whole mind, has gone to live in peace in the home that his Dad has prepared for him in heavenly places. Let us honor Griffin and continue his legacy by sharing the love of God, caring for others, and spreading the Joy, Happiness, and Light we once saw in him.

Griffin, we will miss your smile, your laughter, and your positive outlook that always included GOODWILL towards all humankind and living creatures. We love and miss you more than mere words can express.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary 836th 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.

I served in Iraq with Brock. This man was my brother from another mother. I'll see him again upstairs. He knew God.

I am so sorry I didn't see Griffin's obituary. I would have come to his service. I lived behind him and considered him a friend as well as a neighbor. He had a kind heart and would occasionally surprise me with a flower stuck in my side of our shared fence. I will miss him. I know at his darkest times he tried to smile and give thanks to God. He was a good man. I thank him for the service he gave that was too much. Rest in peace and heal, my sweet friend.

My heart is sadden at the passing of Brock, my deepest sympathies goes out to the family. Brock was always such a gentleman, and so respectful, we would always have deep conversations about the Lord. He was too old for the Children's Church at Second Baptist but when he had a chance he would slip into the class and after service we would talk about the lesson and would end the conversation with a little prayer, a hug, and with a big smile he would say next time I get a chance I'll drop in your class Sis. Mitcham. He is resting in his eternal home now. All of this worlds problems left behind.
