Hannah Fern Davis passed away December 26, 2014, in Ogden, Utah. Fern was born February 24, 1918 to William Henry and Carolena (Christensen) Bagnall in Chester, Utah. She graduated from Moroni High School in 1936. That same year, she married John L. Davis in the Manti Temple. Fern spent most of her life as a homemaker, raising her children and supporting her husband in his work and church callings. She also retired from the IRS after 10 years of service. Following her retirement, she spent time camping with her husband and traveling to visit her son, John, in Ohio and her daughter, Kathleen, in California and later Washington State. Fern was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints and served in the Relief Society Presidency and also in the Primary Organization. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed collecting and trying out new recipes. She would read recipe books like one would enjoy reading a novel. She is survived by one son, John W. (Charlotte) Davis of Beavercreek, OH; two daughters, Susan (Doug) Findlay of Ogden; Kathleen (Rick) Fallows of Pleasant View; and nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Davis, and a son, Byron Ivor Davis. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the kind care providers at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living and the excellent staff of the McKay Dee Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St in Ogden, UT.Family and friends may also gather at a viewing on Thursday, January 1, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm and from 9:00-9:45 prior to the service on Friday.
