Obituary

Harold Creer passed away at his home on Monday, June 25, 2012, 3 days prior to celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary. He was born August 15, 1919, son of Laura Helen Aston and Reed Creer in Bancroft, Idaho.In 1941 he married Geraldine Jacobson. Together they were the parents of three children. They lived in Ogden. In 1943 he enlisted in the Navy and served his boot camp in Farragut, Idaho. He served aboard the LSD White Marsh and also Escort Carrier USS Bairoko. His tour of duty was in the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged in 1946.He spent many years as a plasterer and earned his journeyman card. He also worked part time at the Richards Building. He worked at the O.U.R.D and Southern Pacific Railroad for 37, years taking a medical disability in 1977. He enjoyed being with his family, traveling, fishing especially at Hoop Lake and watching sports live on T.V. especially basketball. He is survived by his wife, his daughter Diane (Mike) Moyes, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; Max, Ray, Burt and Gordon, two sisters; Eva and Helen, two sons; Jim and David.The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice for all the loving care given to Harold, and also to Dr. Almony and Dr. Senekjian. Family will meet friends at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. with a Cryptside service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mausoleum.
