Harold Eugene Scott, age 83, passed away September 23, 2014 at McKay Dee Hospital. He was born, October 11, 1930 to Emory Barney Scott and Cora Smith, in Randolph, Utah. Reared in Cokeville, WY; his family moved to Ogden, UT where he graduated Weber High School in 1949 and attended Weber College. Eugene married Barbara Bingham, later divorcing; then he married Margaret Hawkins who passed away; then married Ellen Mumford, who also passed away. In 2003 he married Frances Davis and was later sealed in the Ogden Temple. Harold served as Branch President in Monticello, NV at age 26. He served many callings and was a member of the Washington Terrace 10th Ward. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad as a chief yard clerk after 40 years and was crossing guard for 13 years. Harold and Fran loved to travel and saw much of the world. They enjoyed square dancing and served as Presidents of Northern Utah Square Dance Association. They were in charge of the 50th Anniversary Square-A-Rama. Later, they became Treasurers of the State Organization. In 2012, they were awarded the Walt Cole Award. Harold is survived by his wife Fran of Washington Terrace; children; Victoria, Debbie, Steven, Alan, Beverly, Mollie, also Jacque, Debbie, Robert, and John. Also, he had twenty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carol and JoAnn; and brother Richard. Also, wives; Margaret, Ellen, and daughter Jadie. A viewing will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St. Ogden, UT. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Washington Terrace 10th Ward, 125 East 5350 South, Washington Terrace, UT, with a viewing prior from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
