Hazel Jeannine Hansen Pehrson-Woodward, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at her home in Riverdale. She was born March 26, 1930, to Hazel Emma Allen and Henry Hansen in Copperton (Bingham), Utah. Jeannine graduated from Box Elder High School and married her high-school sweetheart, Richard J. Pehrson, Sr., in Malad, Idaho on February 17, 1947. He died December 25, 1994. From this union, they had a daughter, Debra Jeannine (Keith) DeGroot and a son, Richard J (Trudy) Pehrson Jr. While Dick was in the military, they lived in Rhode Island, Colorado, California, and Illinois. After he retired from the military they returned to Ogden for a short time then went to Arizona for several years then back to California. She was a bookkeeper/secretary for many years and retired from the City of Cypress in California, retiring to Hemet, California. Jeannine then married Leonard Woodward, April 18, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Len has lovingly taken care of Jeannine these last years and was a great companion. Jeannine is survived by her husband, Len; son, Richard (Trudy) Pehrson; son-in-law, Keith DeGroot; step-sons, Ken Woodward (Donnette Freeland) and Jerry Woodward (Joyce Pio); grandchildren, Stephanie (Ken) Lawrence, Brett DeGroot, Jared Robert Pehrson, and Melissa (Josh) Hall; step-granddaughter, Jodi (Jack) Olson; 10 great-grandchildren, Kylie (Todd) Saunders, Justin (Chaselyn) Lawrence, Dillon DeGroot, Kory (Madi) Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Colby Morgan, Zachary Morgan, Arya Hall, Archer Hall, and McLane Hall; four step-great-grandchildren, Jeremy Olson, Justin Olson, Jace Olson, and John Olson; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kaydan Saunders and Eric Morgan. Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, husband Richard J. Pehrson, Sr., daughter Debra DeGroot, and grandson Ryan L. Pehrson. A viewing will be held from 1:00 -1:45 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT on Monday, May 13, 2019, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm.
