Obituary

Helen BassHelen Bass passed away peacefully at her home on November 30, 2012.Helen Burton Jensen Bass was born on November 10, 1923 to Heber Anthony and Annie Butcher Burton. She was raised on the fruit farm built by her Grandparents who were some of the original pioneers. They came to Utah from England in the late 1800s. She attended grade school and High School in Kaysville. She met and married Glen George Jensen in 1941. They had their first child Patricia in 1942 and their second Dale in 1945. Her husband Glen was killed in an industrial accident in 1947. Helen went to work at Hill Air Force Base in 1951, where she met Darrell Bass. They married in 1959. They spent many years fishing, golfing and traveling. After an early retirement they spent 25 winters in Lake Havasu, AZ and fishing on the Oregon Coast in the summers. She was very close to her family and spent many happy hours with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Darrells children were also included in vacations and birthdays. Darrell passed away on January 1, 2003.She is survived by her son Dale Ivan Jensen and his wife Gail Lindsay of Spokane, WA. her daughter Patricia Ann Corey and her husband Bob Robinson, her granddaughter Denise Rose and her husband Ron, and grandson Brian Corey and his wife Alison. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; all of Ogden, UT. Included are her step children Lyle and Joanne Bass, of Ridgeway CO., Larry and Karen bass, of Kaysville, Christine and Leon Rogers of Afton, WY., and Clark and Nancy Bass of Ogden, 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. P Law, Melanie Poddard and Kathy Kimrose of BriO Home Health and Hospice for all their help and kindness. There will be a gathering for friends and family, Monday, December 3, 2012, from 1-2 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
