Ogden, Utah - Helen Dorothy Bush, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her home following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born September 24, 1921, the daughter of Dan and Julia Teslich. She was the oldest of six children. She married Ernest Lambeth in 1938. They had two children, Ernest Lambeth and Helen Yvonne Martin. Ernest Sr. passed away from tuberculosis in 1942.Helen married Alpheus Bush in 1943 during WWII and they were stationed in numerous places including Texas and Colorado. Following the war, they moved to Seattle, WA and the family was increased by two sons, Alpheus Sidney Bush and Thomas Eugene Bush. Al was transferred to Utah in 1961 working for Boeing at Hill AFB. During this time they were also transferred to other locations including Florida, New York, California, and Ohio. They decided to retire in Ogden, Utah to be near most of their family. Helen and Al, loved to travel and visit their families and friends often taking a grandchild or two with them on their journeys. They enjoyed 50 years together before his passing in 1993. Helen continued traveling with her daughter visiting family and friends and going on cruises. She loved playing cards and Yahtzee and loved to dance, especially with her brother, Dan, and they were the highlight at many wedding receptions.Helen was preceded in death by her husband Alpheus Bush, her mother, father, two brothers, one sister and three great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Yvonne Martin and three sons, Ernest (Sharon) Lambeth, Alpheus Sidney (Nancy) Bush and Thomas Eugene Bush, ten grand children, fifteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.Services will be held Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
