Helen S. Cartwright 2/24/1913 - 7/8/2014 Helen S. Cartwright, 101, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2013 She was born February 24, 1913 to John and Vinetta Simpson in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High and was active in the ROTC. She was a lifelong resident of Ogden and a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Arthur E. Cartwright in Ogden. They enjoyed traveling throughout the West, training and walking their dogs, hunting pheasants and ducks, and hiking the trails in Snow Basin. Helen also enjoyed gardening and loved the mountains. She worked at ZCMI until they closed their doors. She was about 83 years old at the time. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Banks; three grandsons Rick Schow, Mitchell Schow, Travis Cartwright; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur and her son, Greg Cartwright. Services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT.
