Obituary

Helen Joan Crosbie Wilkinson Masters peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2011. She was born December 30, 1920 the second daughter and ninth child of Josephine Rasmussen and James Crosbie. She was a student of the first graduating class of the new Ogden High School in 1938. In 1942, she married Sterling Wilkinson who was killed in action February 2, 1944 while serving his country during WWII. Helen married William (Bill) Masters, Sept. 12, 1946 and they were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake City temple. They enjoyed 64 wonderful years of marriage together. She worked at Union Pacific Railroad Station and was also a Union Pacific Railroad majorette, performing throughout the United States. She later worked as a service representative for Mountain States Telephone. Helen lived her life with an amazingly strong testimony of the Lord. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in numerous callings. Helen was a devoted wife and loving mother who always looked at life optimistically. Helen faced all of lifes challenges taking each step with strength, humor, and perseverance. She never gave up and undertook every challenge with grace and dignity. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was her family. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings. She is survived by her three children, Carol (Phill) Baker, Mike (Jackie) Masters and Janice (Teena) Masters. They were also blessed with eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. At Helens request, services will be held to celebrate the memories of times spent together as she moves on to explore new places with old friends and family who left before her. A gathering will be held Thursday April 7th, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.with graveside services beginning 3:00 p.m. at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th street.The family would like to thank Dr. Friden, the staff of Wasatch Care Center, and Vista Care Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for not only Helen, but for her family also. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Wasatch Care Center or Vista Care Hospice to allow others the same love, comfort, and care.
