Henry R. Hall is once again with his beloved wife, Suzanne, of 53 years. They are together again in the arms of God. Henry passed away on October 11, 2012, at the George E. Wahlen Home for Veterans in Ogden. He was born in April of 1944 and was the middle of five children. He graduated from Weber High then Weber State where he earned an Associates Degree. While at Weber State he met the love of his life, Suzanne H. Hall. In 1944 he enlisted in the Army and was sent to Europe where he landed on Omaha Beach the day after D Day. During the war he was a mortar gunner with the 28th Infantry Division at the Battle of the Bulge where he was trapped behind enemy lines for three days and listed as Missing in Action. While on leave at home in the U.S. he married Suzanne. They took a quick honeymoon to Niagara Falls, NY and then he and his new bride settled in North Ogden. He worked with his father, Henry C. Hall on the family fruit farm. The couple had one daughter, Cherie (Hall) Ensminger. After his fathers passing he and his brother George Hall took over the farm and continued farming as Hall Brothers Fruit Farm.He was a member of the Riders of the Wasatch and Wasatch Cutter Racing Association. He and his wife were involved with Whitney Whirlers Square Dancing Club and snowmobiling. They were founding members of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Henry is survived by his daughter, Cherie Hall Ensminger, Aurora, Illinois, son-in-law, Mark Ensminger and granddaughter, Lindsey Ensminger. He is also survived by his brother, George Hall, North Ogden, Utah, sister, Helen Madison, Ogden, Utah and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Suzanne Hall and two sisters, Virginia and Bertha Bissenden. Services for Henry will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The family will meet with friends Monday October 14, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:45p.m., also held at the mortuary.
