Farr West Hilda Christiansen, 83, passed away on October 9, 2018. She was born on February 16, 1935 in Preston, Idaho to James V. Hansen and Hilda Bishop Sullivan. Hilda was raised on a farm outside Preston and graduated from Preston High School in 1953. She met and married Allan Christiansen on June 18, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Ogden Utah in 1955 where she worked for Graysons, J.C. Penney and then went to work at IRS in 1958 where she later retired in 1995. Allan and Hilda have lived in Ogden, Roy, West Haven, and the last 19 years in Farr West. Hilda is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many ward positions that included serving as Primary teacher, Relief Society Work Director, and Activity Committee Chairman. After her husbands retirement, they purchased a cabin in Island Park, Idaho and enjoyed spending the summers there. She loved fishing, 4-wheeling with her kids/grandkids, and watching the many different wildlife that came into their property especially the moose, deer, and different types of birds. Hilda is survived by her husband, Allan; daughter Lori, of Roy; and son Robbie of Smithfield. She also is survived by five grandchildren; Alex, Tiffany, Michael, Paul Christiansen, and Marcus Garong; along with three great grandchildren; Bentley, Kaylynn and Kenzee. Hilda is also survived by one brother, Jay Hansen and wife Gayle, of Preston, ID, and her twin sister, Helen Ralphs, of Clifton, ID. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Westwood Ward Chapel in Farr West at 2123 North 2000 West. A viewing will be held at the Chapel on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 6:00 8:00 pm and from 10:00 10:45 am Monday prior to the service. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT Arrangements under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
