Hilda Beatrice Ash RiddleHilda Ash Riddle, 90, of West Point, Utah, was taken home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2012, at her home with her loving husband at her side. Hilda was born to Godly parents on May 13, 1922 at her parents house, on Little Sancho in Tyler County West Virginia, of the late Otto Daniel Ash and Maude Vandilla Gorrell Ash. Also preceding her in death was her sister Sylvia Etta Masters and her brothers Ivan Earnest Ash and Harold Duane Ash. Surviving is her husband Russell Junior Riddle, whom she married August 26, 1967 at the St. Luke United Brethren Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia with Rev. Howard L. Fulk officiating. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 26, 1971.Hilda graduated from Golden Dawn Elementary School and Tyler County High School in Middlebourne, West Virginia. Hilda worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Parkersburg, West Virginia until February 1962 when she moved to Martinsburg, West Virginia. She started working for the Internal Revenue Services National Computer Center as a Tape Librarian where she met her husband to be. She retired from the IRS as a Computer Scheduler on March 9, 1979.Hilda as baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cumberland, Maryland on August 25, 1963. The missionary elders that taught Hilda the Gospel were Michael Scanion and Dennis Bishop. She held several positions as a member of the Church which included; Martinsburg Branch pianist, Young Womens president, Relief Society president, District Relief Society counselor, Ward Librarian and Winchester Stake Family History librarian. Hilda loved cats; Fluffy, Kristy, Charlie Brown and Tasha welcomed her in heaven, while Tigger, Col. Mustard, Sonny, Sam and Sally are left to keep her husband company. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mary Whitney and the folks from Inspiration Hospice for the compassion and loving care they provided. Family will meet with friends Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services also at the Mortuary.
