Obituary

Holly Michelle Killard, age 58, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9th, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. Holly was born on December 17, 1966, in Ogden, Utah, and lived a vibrant and creative life surrounded by those she loved.

Raised in North Ogden with her siblings Jeff and Rachael, Holly attended Weber High School where she formed many lasting friendships and fond memories. Her life was rich in love and family. She married James Killard at a young age and welcomed her first daughter, Angela Marie Killard. Holly's love for life and connection led her to meet Bobby Ablia, with whom she had her daughter Jamie Palacios, and later, Steve Ball, with whom she shared her youngest daughter, Alexis Ball.

Holly wore many hats throughout her life. She worked at Hill Air Force Base, JC Penney, and also embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom—one of her most cherished positions. She was endlessly creative, channeling her talents into crafting custom jewelry and watches. Holly also had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved teacup poodles, which she bred and cared for over the years.

Those who knew Holly will remember her unique sense of humor, her love for all things lime-flavored, and her passion for jungle and safari-themed décor. Her favorite animals were giraffes and elephants, and her home reflected that adventurous spirit. Though she spent most of her life close to her roots in North Ogden, she briefly lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming, carrying her warmth and creativity wherever she went.

Holly is survived by her daughters Angela Killard (Brandon Johnson) and Alexis Ball; grandchildren Isabella, Gabriella, Juliana, and Analicia Palacios; Aubryanna Starks; and Drayden Johnson; and her great-grandchildren Xavien and Elena. She also leaves behind her siblings Jeff Edwards (Traci Edwards) and Rachael Edwards; nieces and nephews Tucker Bishop, Katie Edwards, Cade Allen, and Peyden Allen; and many friends who were touched by her warmth and vibrant personality.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jamie Palacios, her mother Angie Edwards, and her cherished dog Gizmo. Her beloved dog Lottie remains in the loving care of her niece Peyden.

Holly's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, creativity, and strength will live on through her family and all who had the honor of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Shady Lane Park in Pleasant View, Utah. All who knew and loved Holly are welcome to attend.
