Lillian BarronOgden-Ida Lillian Morehead Barron, 88, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 of pneumonia. She was born on August 10, 1923 in Leavenworth, Kansas, a daughter of Charles and Bertha Morehead. She married Francis Barron on May 24, 1942 in Leavenworth. They moved to Ogden in 1965, where she worked at JC Penney for many years.She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Lillians family benefitted from her many talents which included sewing, knitting, cooking and baking. She enjoyed family activities and taking care of her grandchildren. She loved to play cards, go to Wendover and watch the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her six children, Pat Barron (friend-Roscoe Stack); Sue (Jack) Munns; Barbara (Rick) Hess; David (Annette) Barron; Nancy (Darrell) Storey; Scott (Amy) Barron. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by one sister, Gladys Harmon and one brother, Bill Morehead, both of Leavenworth, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister. The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to Mt. Ridge Assisted Living and Applegate Homecare and Hospice for their excellent care. Thanks also to Brandi and the Weber MACS Program. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1339 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, with Reverend Alane Currier Griggs officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, as well as on Wednesday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1339 W. 400 N.
