Our dear mother Indra Belle Buswell Willis passed away peacefully November 28, 2018. She was born June 21, 1923 to John D. and Indra Buswell in Ogden Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Brigham Young University before she met and married Albert Sid Willis on January 4, 1944. They were later sealed as a family in the Logan LDS Temple. Five children were born to this union, Michael Willis (deceased), Sydney Massey (Chuck), Johnny Willis (Debi), Gene Ann Tanner and Mary McMillen (Kent). Mom and Dad spent 61 years together until Dads passing in 2005. Mom spent her 95 years bringing joy and laughter to everyone she came into contact with. Her love of life and adventure took her all over the world. As an Air Force wife she lived across the United States and Japan, and also traveled to Hawaii, Canada and many countries in Europe. She also served in the Marine Corp during World War II. Belle worked as a page in the Utah House of Representatives but enjoyed her role as homemaker, mother, wife and the best grandmother ever! She was an original member of the Ogden Chapter of Sweet Adelines, singing bass for over 40 years. She loved to quilt, garden, camp, paint, cook and entertain. She entertained thousands with her unique rendition of the Night Before Christmas. She wrote and directed Road Shows in the 71st Ward, fashion shows, bazaars and dinners. Mom served in Relief Society Presidencies and in the Primary. She was also a long-time member of the Farr West Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was very proud of her five children, 17 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren. Please join us in celebrating her life beginning with a viewing on Sunday, December 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Westwood Ward at 2123 North 2000 West, Farr West Utah. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 3rd at 11:00 am, with a brief viewing prior at 10:00 to 10:45 am at the Westwood Ward. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden Utah where full Military honors will be performed.
