Irene Howard-Osborne BoultonIrene Howard-Osborne Boulton passed away peacefully on September 2, 2012 of natural causes surrounded by those she loved. Irene was born with her identical twin in Brisbane, Australia on December 8, 1913 where she went to school and later worked as a supervisor in a large factory to support her family.She married Alexander R. Boulton in Australia in 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Logan temple. Together they raised four children after immigrating to Utah after World War II. Irene was known for her gentle compassionate nature. She was a diligent member of the LDS church and served for over 85 years in numerous positions beginning at age 13 until days before her death. She especially loved her work with the primary children. Surviving is her husband of 71 years; one son, Alexander C. Boulton (Jan); two daughters, Anna Boulton (Rick Sline), and Kathy Fessler (Michael); 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Boulton; her twin sister, Anna Wight; and her granddaughters, Amber and Jessica Jensen.Irene devoted her life to her family and church. She was a central figure at every family event and will be missed by all. Friends may visit the family at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St. on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, September 7 at North Ogden 4th Ward, 1791 N 600 E, North Ogden. Friends will be greeted prior to the service from 12 noon-12:45 PM. Interment will be held at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 E. Combe Road, Ogden.
