Obituary

Irene ClarkIrene Clark was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on December 14,1939 to Thomas N. and Helen L Tomisin. She lived in West Virginia with her grandparents until the age of 14 when she moved to Rapid City, South Dakota with her mother and brother.Irene married and had two children Ronald R. Cafourek of Roy, and Aimee Clark Dimick of Lehi. She and her husband moved to Ogden, Utah. They were later divorced. She later met and married Clyde S. Clark, they were married 30 years, he preceded her in death. They loved to travel and camp.Irene was employed by the State Tax Commission for thirty four years. In an effort to improve her position she continued her education and became Assistant Director of the processing division in Salt Lake City. She was also elected as Chairperson of the International Fuel Agreement and managed the Utah International Registration Plan.Irene was a member of the Roy Eagles and served as the first female President for one year. She remained active in the organization until her health failed. She was also a past member of the Roy Elks Lodge. Irene loved country music, especially Willie Nelson, her yards, garden, and her dog Waddie. Irene loved and cherished her children, and her grandson Daniel, her brother Tom and her special niece Wendy Santoro. She also had extended members of the family who became her children, Sharon Cafourek, and John Cowgill.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, three stepsons and daughter in law.Survived by son Ronald Cafourek, daughter Aimee Dimick (Kenneth), grandson Daniel Cafourek (Tabitha), her brother Tom Tomisin (Laura), four nieces; Shelly Bingham, Wendy Santoro, Jennifer German, Kim Torman and stepson Clyde Clark Jr. (Stephanie).Thanks to family members who helped so much, Dr. Mc Kenzie, Cindy, Julie, and Dr. Sabaka.A celebration of Irenes life will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 where family and friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
