Isabelle, age 94, passed from our lives on Sunday May 19 , 2013, leaving a void that will not be filled. As a member of Americas greatest generation we have learned many lessons from her. Through her example we learned that it is the simple things that count, unconditional love of family, a home cooked meal, a brisk morning walk, a warm hug, the companionship of a good dog and a Utah victory over BYU on a fall afternoon. We watched her complete loyalty to her husband of 70 years, and felt her sadness at his passing. She would want us to know she never missed voting in an election, nor attending the many piano and dance recitals of her daughter and grandchildren and always flew the flag on July 4th. Her generation was strong, loving, loyal, and patriotic. I hope we can follow her example. She is survived by her daughter Janice Baird Paulsen, (James), grandson Andrew Baird Paulsen, granddaughter Ashley Baird Paulsen-Cook (Kyle), three greatgrand children, and brother in law, Bobby Rae Baird. She was preceded in death by her husband, Texie Hershel Baird. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Center for their wonderful kindness and care to Isabelle over the years. Also, a thanks to Franki Loftus from Inspirational Hospice for her gentle care. Funeral services will be held May 24th, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. There will be viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment: Aultorest Memorial Park.
