Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce Jackie Ann passed away surrounded by her children and many others Saturday March 9th, 2024 in SLC, Utah.

Born in Nebraska City, NE January 7th, 1943, to Carl and Gayle Mosier. Jackie spent her childhood in Nebraska with her sister, Carla and brother Mike.

Jackie met and married her best friend, Gerald Highfield, in 1963 in Ft. Knox, KY. They moved to Utah where they raised 4 children and made lasting memories. Some of her favorite memories included her time volunteering with the Sandridge Ward Relief Society and Primary Group and family spread throughout Utah.

While Jackie did many things, what she loved most was being a Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Her greatest accomplishments were her family and watching them all grow. In her golden years, she cherished every moment spent with her great grandchildren.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Gerry, and her Parents Carl and Gayle Mosier. She is succeeded by her children Candice (Daniel) Thompson, Scott (Sara) Highfield, Bryce (Julie) Highfield, and Laura Megan (Eugene) Vinitsky, sister Carla (Greg) Mitchell, brother Mike (Margie) Mosier, and sister-in-law Cheryl Simmons. Jackie also succeeds six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU Critical Care team at St. Marks Hospital-their care was instrumental to her comfort and transition from this lift to the next.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 24th, from 3pm to 6pm at 60 North 1750 West, West Point Utah to share memories and laughter, which as Jackie always said was "the best medicine". To RSVP, please email kandesabc@gmail.com or call 801-643-5694.

While she is gone, she is not forgotten. We will continue to live her legacy everyday as though she was here with us every day.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary www.bestfriends.org in Jackie's memory.

We love you, mom.
