Jacob Mathew Nothum, age 15, passed away August 20.2024 after a courageous battle with Pompe Disease. Jacob was born November 29,2008 in Mesa, Arizona, to Brian and Diane Nothum.

He attended Legacy Junior High School and was ready to attend Layton High School this fall. Jacob attended church his whole life, with the last five years being at Washington Heights Church, where his love for the Lord continued to grow.

Jacob had a wicked sense of humor, a kind heart and never-ending optimism. No matter what life threw at him did not complain and embraced the challenges head on.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Brian and Diane, and his sister, Samantha.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm September 14th , 2024, at Washington Heights Church 1770 East 6200 South Ogden, UT 84405. If attending please dress causal, Jacob was not one for formalities.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Make A Wish Arizona. Jacob was granted a wish (Disney Cruise) in 2014, and that was one of the happiest times in his life!
