He was always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, or anyone that needed something fixed or needed help. At 101, it could truly be said of Jacob, You shall come to the grave at a full age, as a sheaf of grain ripens in its season (Job 5:26). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy and 10 siblings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone that visited Jacob, especially George Fisher. He enjoyed his company and the way he told his wonderful stories of his life when he was young. We would also like to thank the staff of the Emeritus Estates, we are grateful for their help in caring for Jacob. Both while he was in the assisted living area and in the memory care unit. Also for the comfort they gave to the family during the time he was living there. We really enjoyed the wonderful 101 birthday party given in Jacobs honor. The family wants to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hearts for Hospice for the exceptional care they gave to Jacob. Especially Camille that sang his favorite song with him, Life is like a Railroad and she played her guitar while he sang, "Silent Night" in German.
