James Allen Bassett, son of Allan and Jean Bassett (deceased), age 69, of Winnetka, CA, born April 2, 1944 in Selfridge Field, MI, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at home. Jim was an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster all his adult life and taught Metal Shop at Simi Valley Adult School in his earlier years and was a great mentor. Jim leaves behind his wife Sylvia M. Bassett, daughters Shea and Melissa and son Brent and granddaughter Emily. Graveside services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St, Ogden, UT 84403 at 10 am on Sat. June 8, 2013 for his final resting place with his parents and grandparents. Jim was an intelligent man with a heart of gold with the gift of gab and will be missed by all who knew him.
