James Edward Brown, 71, passed away, November 11, 2013. Jim was born on May 25, 1942 to John & Vera Brown in NewCastle, Pennsylvania. Jim graduated from Weber High School. He married Emma Shelton and they divorced. He then married Jenny Telford on March 6, 1998. Jim was a gas station attendant for Bernies Phillips 66 station on 5th & Washington, a brakeman for Union Pacific RR, a diesel mechanic for Jack B. Parsons, he drove a truck for Al Paley, Interpace Brick, Bangerter trucking and Associated Foods, a building superintendant for Wallace & Associates and Cottonwood Partners. He also enjoyed coaching little league baseball for St. Joseph Church in Ogden, West Haven and Roy. He was an active member of Golden Spike Hockey Association where he coached mini mites. He served as head referee for Utah Amateur Hockey Associates and a linesman for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles. Jim is survived by his wife, his adult children, Julie (John) Allen, Mike Brown, Lisa Brown, Tim (Jan) Brown, Michelle Markovic, Mark Telford, Paul Telford and his siblings, Robert Brown, Roberta (Richard) Smtih, Mary Hamblin, John (Fran) Brown, Pearl (Charles) Clawson and Valerie (Larry) Hegland, also 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to services. Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
