James Charles Patterson passed away on April 27, 2012. He was born on August 24, 1950 to Charles and Mary Patterson in Ogden, Utah. Jim attended St. Josephs High School and graduated from Ogden High School. He married Patricia Wentzel in 1972. He was remarried in 1982 to Jenese Lawhead. He married again in 2005 to Sharron Coltrin. Jim was a history buff, specializing in the Civil War era. He loved all aircraft from WWII through the Supersonic Jets of today; although he was not fond of flying. He had a true loving relationship with all animals throughout his life. Being a drummer, music was an integral part of his persona. Jim was a caring father and loving husband. Being a true head of the family; able to listen and help you solve problems. He had a way of making your stress and worries evaporate. Jim is survived by his wife Sharry Patterson, his son Joe Patterson and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Theres a hole in the world tonight. Funeral services for Jim will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Family will meet with friends Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the services Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. also at the mortuary. Interment will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
