IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Graham
February 15, 1933 – October 28, 2024
Lt. Col. (Retired) James Linn Graham (February 15, 1933 - October 28, 2024), 91, has joined our Lord, the choirs of angels, and his loving family who predeceased him in heaven.
Linn was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia, where he was a member of the Air Force ROTC. Upon graduation, he served our nation in the United States Air Force for 22 years. At Loring AFB, Maine, he was a B-52 Electronic Warfare Officer. During his time in Viet Nam, he was an F-105 Wild Weasel and completed 100 missions. He was awarded the Silver Star. After his military retirement in 1979, he and Audrey relocated to Ogden, Utah. He was a contractor for the BDM Corporation. His electronic warfare knowledge was instrumental in its development for the F-16 fighter jet.
Linn was a devout Roman Catholic who believed deeply in the Lord, had a strong Catholic faith and knew that the power of prayer would take his family through any of life's challenges. He was a member of Holy Family Parish that he loved for 45 years. During the formation of the parish, he began his ministry of service as a Eucharistic Minister serving on the altar and to the homebound. He served on the Steering Committee for the building of the new Holy Family Catholic Church.
He and Audrey loved to travel, visiting their children and vacationing in Hawaii. He loved working around the house, gardening and entertaining friends. Anyone who walked into his home was made to feel welcome. He never met a stranger. Linn was loved by all.
Linn is survived by Audrey, his beloved wife of 64 years, his son David (Sharon), daughters Anne Hopkins (Mark), Teresa Graham-Muffler (Ron), Janet Evans (Chad), Kathy Mooney, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, his sister Anne Marino (Ric) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents James Linn Graham Sr. and Ethel Graham Bell.
