James (Jim) Pettit, passed away January 22, 2016. He was born December 9, 1956 in Fresno, California to James and Jo Ann Pettit. He married the love of his life Ruth Osborn On December 30, 1981. Jim went to Clearfield High School. He worked as a foreman most of his life and loved to do construction. Jim was an avid hunter and fisher. The mountains were one of his favorite places. He loved being with his family and friends and could always make us laugh. We will miss him dearly. Jim is survived by his wife, Ruth Pettit, Manila, UT; mother, JoAnn (Rod) Hansen, Clinton, UT; sons, Cris (Keri) Pettit, Corinne, UT, Jason (Trisha) Pettit, Clinton, UT; brother, Frank (Becky) Pettit, Mesa, AZ; four nephews, Mesa, AZ and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, James Pettit and father-in-law, Kenneth Osborn. A Viewing will be on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am. GravesideServices and Interment will be at the Manila Cemetery, 312 East Stateline Road, Manila, UT that afternoon.
