James (Jim) was born August 13, 1931 in Ogden, Utah to James Redden and Edna Estelle Redden. He married Barbara Ann Griffin, January 5, 1963. Jim attended Ogden schools and graduated from Ogden High in 1950. He earned an Associate of Science degree from Weber State College in 1953 and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Utah in 1957. He worked for Prudential Insurance for a short time; he was then employed at Hill Air Force Base for 26 years, retiring in 1986. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His hobbies were carving, reading and painting landscapes. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother Lance Redden of Helena, Montana and nieces and nephews. Jim was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and friends. He will be missed. At Jims request he will be cremated with no services. Family requests no flowers.
