James Ruiz Sr., 80, passed away December 8, 2011. He was born on May 11, 1931 to Cecilia Ruiz in Neels, Utah. James married Isabel Pia on February 4, 1958. They were later divorced. He then married Thelma Manuel, she passed away in November of 1999. James lived in Ogden most of his life. He enjoyed Mexican music, western movies, dancing, playing pool and going on long drives. The great joy of his life was his grandkids and great grandkids. James retired from Williams International. He served in the US Army, during the Korean War. James is survived by two sisters; Rose Carrillo, Ogden, Louise Barba, Ogden, his children; Mary Bracamont (Ruiz), James Jr. (Angela), Jesse (Rne) Sam Manuel (Denice) Angela Manuel, also several grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, brothers; Raymond Ruiz, Charles Rivera, David Rivera, sisters; Mary, Joanie Navarro, Jeanne Varela, children; John "Matt" Ruiz, Marie "Eva" Ruiz and his twin great granddaughters. A memorial services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services also at the mortuary.
