He married Nancy Harbertson on January 14, 1989. They shared 25 years together traveling and enjoying their grandchildren. He and Nancy loved to golf together and talk, talk, talk. Jim loved to boat and fish especially in the Florida Keys and Strawberry Reservoir. He loved teaching his sons and grandson Nathan to hunt and fish. He was exceptional at crossword puzzles. His one great passion was World War II. He studied and read over and over accounts of battles and strategies, read of WWII pilots from all countries and watched the History Channel about WWII. Of late he enjoyed card games on his computer. Jims work ethic was outstanding. He was put to work at various jobs beginning at age 11 and never was without a job until 2010. He had a commendable career with the Dept. of Defense at Hill Air Force Base and Defense Depot Ogden. He retired with 34 years of service. He then went back to work for a defense contractor for the Y2K issue and was kept on for 10 years-retiring again in 2010 when health problems occurred. He made numerous good friends there.
